INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM : DECODED

India is a vast country. It has diversities in every field, be it religion, caste, language or the festivals. We have a very huge population and thus we stand proudly in the international arena with every bit of our people showing their talents in every field. The people of our clime have reached to every part of the world where they have proved their mettle and have made us proud by doing some deeds which have been engraved in the golden era of this world.
All this was possible because of the empowering education system which supported us to reach the paramount. Our system is equipped with world’s scholars and teachers who always put their best forward while teacher our students before big competitions and examinations. As the world progresses on the mighty shoulders of time, our system seems to falter a bit. Its not such that we are going backwards with time but instead we are progressing steadily but the education system which provides us the way for accomplishment doesn’t uses the right way. Today, when you visit the schools of India you would get to see a sorry sight where the school children would be spotted wasting their energy in carrying books in their bags which are very heavy. Though, these books are useful but including all of them in a single day is not a fair task. They don’t need to study all of them in a single day which would enormously pressurize them and they would get bored after studying 2 or three of them. Secondly, our Indian education system has been divided into two distinct educational boards namely the “ICSE” and “CBSE” which are distributed throughout the country in different states. Both these boards use two distinct patterns of teaching which causes serious chaos sometimes in our students. The whole system should be unified and should use a single teaching pattern which would be very convenient for our students to learn and grow. Our education system has the biggest demerits due to bilateral teaching system. NCERT books are one of the best books in the world but the students of CBSE board posses the privilege of studying this whereas the students of the ICSE board have a totally different teaching scheme where they have publications like Selina and others. The main problem lies here that the students of icse board are lagging behind in their education and the cbse students are running away with all their might. They are surely ahead in the positive educational battle. Every year, according to studies the cbse students have a mark average greater than the students of icse board. Due to bifurcations in the teaching system there are educational inequalities among the students and Moreover, majority of the questions of different competitions are framed from the Ncert books which is storehouse of basic as well as advanced knowledge.
Though, we have a very decent educational hierarchy, we posses some defects which are creating disturbances in educational societies and is causing havoc in the country. I, as a citizen of this country and a student with all my hopes dream of an educated India.
